Residential market analysis and a sampling of high- and low-priced listings in London last week

IT SIMPLY COULDN’T be a hotter real estate market in London. A record 1,275 homes sold in the London and St. Thomas area last month, with the average house price edging ever nearer to the $500,000 mark ― $487,120, which represents a 17.5 per cent increase over July 2019

Considering listing your home? Take these steps to get it ready: Declutter, make necessary repairs, update paint colours and flooring, tidy the flower beds, edge the lawn ― the returns on presenting a property in the best way possible are enormous.

Considering buying? You must get a mortgage pre-approval from a broker, sign with a realtor to represent you professionally in a property search, define your parameters (bedrooms, bathrooms, location, price, amenities, etc.), start viewing properties to best learn what’s important to you and what isn’t.

Buying or selling, the key is to be organized and plan ahead ― it will save you tens of thousands of dollars.
