BLUESTONE PROPERTIES INC. has announced that their Dufferin Corporate Centre, located at 130 Dufferin Avenue, has once again received the Energy Star Certification for 2020.
The building, which also had extensive retrofits to the lobby, entrances and main corridor recently completed, earned a score of 96 out of 100, indicating that it performs better than at least 96 per cent of similar buildings across the country.
In Canada, the Energy Star certification is administered by Natural Resources Canada and recognizes the most energy efficient commercial and institutional buildings on a national level. The Dufferin Corporate Centre is the first building in London to achieve this certification.
“I would like to thank my team who worked so hard over the years,” says Ilona Covaliu, commercial property manager with BlueStone Properties. “We have implemented different energy saving projects, as well as multiple strategies for optimizing energy use. Not only have we achieved significant cost savings through our initiatives, but through this recognition, we managed to set us apart as one of the most efficient buildings nationwide.”
According to BlueStone, while the majority of space at 130 Dufferin is leased, the 11th floor is currently available. The 19,944 square feet of space features combination of individual offices, collaborative space and workstations to create a balanced work environment.
