Photo: Stryker Medical London will close in early 2021

Backroads Café and Tavern to open at 625 Dundas Street, former location of the St. Regis Tavern (to open by end of 2020).

London North Centre MP Peter Fragiskatos has announced the 4th Annual London North Centre Honour Roll, highlighting individuals and groups working to build a strong, supportive and inclusive community.

Hospital bed manufacturer Stryker Medical London, 1020 Adelaide Street South, to shut down early 2021, sidelining more than 70 employees. Business will be shifted to Kalamazoo, Michigan-based Stryker Corp. facility.

Western University researcher Dr. Qingping Feng has been named the 2020 WORLDiscoveries Vanguard Innovator of the Year for his team’s development of the protein annexin A5 into a pharmaceutical that may become the world’s first effective treatment for sepsis.

Dr. Irene Hramiak, St. Joseph’s Health Care endocrinologist and Lawson Health Research Institute scientist, has been awarded a 2020 Mastership from the American College of Physicians.

Fanshawe College has announced is will become a military-connected campus, offering increased social supports, new bursaries and academic credit for students who are military-connected.

Author Jennifer Grainger has had her new book released. London Free Press: From the Vault II, is a photo-history hardcover book documenting Free Press stories from 1950 to 1975.

The City of London curbside compost program, expected to start next fall, has been delayed and is now slated to begin in summer or fall of 2022.
