Toasting the 20 Under 40 Class of 2020

SINCE 2013, LONDON’S 20 Under 40 program, presented in partnership with the Twenty Under Forty Foundation, has celebrated younger Londoners who are moving the city forward.

But this year, celebrating success has taken on new meaning. In a year that has thrown its fair share of challenges at us, it hasn’t stopped this group of exceptional young professionals from making this city a better place. They are blazing trails in a variety of industries, and with their open hearts and bright minds have shown that, in a year of exceptional adversity, ingenuity and integrity still shine through.

The people you see here are entrepreneurs, innovators and visionaries who are each making a difference in their field and in the city. The 20 Under 40 list is not just a celebration of young, successful people, but also of the city that, despite a global pandemic, allows their successes to be possible.

What success means in this city is changing; it looks very different today than it did in 2013 when London’s first 20 Under 40 class was announced. But one thing that hasn’t changed is what this group of remarkable young people represent: Not only are they a hopeful sign of what our city is to become, they are a barometer of what our city is right now. And that is something of which we all should be proud.
