Appointments & Announcements:

APPOINTED A&L Canada Laboratories Inc. has announced that Rob Field has joined the company as business development manager effective December 14, 2020. Field will provide leadership to the company in its transformation from a ‘boutique’ research house to a fully commercial company.

ANNOUNCED By the Ontario Ministry of Labour, Training and Skills Development, $20 million in sponsorship grants to attract young people to the skilled trades.

SOLD Turner Drug Store (52 Grand Avenue) to pharmacist Darren Dasovich and business partner Peter Adams.

AWARDED Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry professor Lisa Saksida has been named a recipient of the 2020 Canada’s Most Powerful Women: Top 100 Award. The awards are presented annually by the Women’s Executive Network, a national member-based organization propelling and celebrating the advancement of women at all levels, in all sectors and of all ages.

LAUNCHED By AutoVerify, powered by Mobials Inc., AutoVerify Spotlight, a new product aimed to help automotive dealers improve their digital merchandising efforts. Its first feature launch reflects a new partnership between AutoVerify and SiriusXM that will help dealers highlight the unique features of vehicles in their inventory including SiriusXM’s availability and trial term offered with the vehicle.

ANNOUNCED By Airshow London, a repeat of its physically distant, drive-in event format in 2021. The 2021 Airshow London will be held over three days from August 27 to 29.

ANNOUNCED By London’s Twenty Under 40 Foundation, the selection of SARI Therapeutic Riding as the recipient of its $10,000 2020 Community Project Fund Award.

ANNOUNCED By the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario, legislation to make the sale of alcohol with food takeout and delivery orders permanent.
