What would you say your biggest business achievement has been?
As a former nurse, I have experience that helps me to understand the reality of how law affects healthcare. As a result, I have been asked to give lectures about the interplay between health and law and, most importantly to me, how that interplay affects long-term care. My biggest career achievement has been finding this platform and being able to speak about things that I am passionate about.

Who has been your biggest influence?
My mom, who went to university in her 40s when she had four school-age kids and a job. She wasn’t afraid to make a hard decision or a big change in order to achieve her goals. She was fearless and that taught me to be bold. My dad, who is the hardest working person I know and who always puts others ahead of himself. He sees the job that needs to be done, and that is the end of the conversation — it gets done.

What has Covid-19 taught you about work and life?
The practice of law is very different today than it was pre-pandemic. In my profession, changes typically happen incrementally, but during the pandemic, we have seen sweeping changes to how we all practice law today and into the future. Covid-19 has taught me how important it is to be able to adapt. Although change can be hard, especially when you are forced out of a familiar way of conducting business. it is often for the better.
What are your favourite pastimes outside of work?
I enjoy playing chess, reading, writing and travelling. I have been to 29 countries around the world and I cannot wait for this pandemic to be over so I can make it 30.
What have you been streaming lately?
