Fanshawe introduces Toronto programming

A new Fanshawe partnership will see Fanshawe programming offered to international students in Toronto

FANSHAWE COLLEGE HAS announced a new partnership with ILAC International College (ILAC), a private career college that offers career-focused programs in Toronto and Vancouver. As part of the partnership, ILAC will begin offering Fanshawe post-secondary programs in spring 2022 to international students at facilities located in downtown Toronto.

“Fanshawe is excited to be partnering with such an experienced college as ILAC,” says Fanshawe president, Peter Devlin. “We look forward to broadening the reach of Fanshawe’s high-quality programs to students who will contribute to Ontario’s and Canada’s labour market.”

As part of its strategic plan, Fanshawe has targeted a 50 per cent increase to international enrolments over five years. According to the school, by increasing international enrolment, the college will contribute to the province’s labour market gaps and strengthen the economy. It also contributes to the federal government’s plans to support economic recovery through immigration.

“Fanshawe is the gold standard in international education,” says Jonathan Kolber, CEO of ILAC. “Fanshawe’s leadership in student diversity and its student-first approach are strongly aligned with ILAC’s core values. We intend to grow Fanshawe Toronto into a brand that employers come to first for graduates looking for good jobs.”

ILAC will begin offering Fanshawe programs starting in spring 2022, and classes will be held in downtown Toronto close to many student placement opportunities in the health care and hospitality industries. As part of the partnership agreement, the international students will graduate with a Fanshawe College credential.

According to Fanshawe, ILAC was selected from over 400 prospective partners following an extensive assessment and site audit process. ILAC currently serves 20,000 students from over 100 countries across its six campuses located in Toronto and Vancouver. Fanshawe has been a pathway partner with ILAC for over a decade.
