What would you call your biggest business achievement, and why?

My partnerships with Scott McGillivray and Ryan Serhant. From little old London all the way to being named a global ambassador among 10,000 members was a fun one. Having high-level mentors and friends like them has completely changed our idea of what’s possible.

How have the last two years changed you, and the way you approach your work?

It caused 10 years of growth in two by forcing us to refine our processes. No one knew what was to come. We were heavily into the digital world pre-Covid. but now we’ve tripled down and it has changed everything. We now are growing a global virtual platform — I love that we can do that from Southwestern Ontario.

What advice would you give your younger self?

You can make money if you work hard, but true wealth comes from the depth of relationships you can make through the work that you do. Focusing on people over profits wins every time.

What do you like to do outside of work?

Photography — I absolutely love capturing the people and places we visit. There’s something amazing about capturing a moment in time that will never be repeated and sharing it with the people you were with. One of the best gifts you can give someone is the gift of a moment in time.

You’re marooned on a desert island — what’s the one thing you’re bringing with you?

My Bible. The more I read it the more I get out of it, so it would be like having a library of books in one. It also contains some of the best lessons for dealing with life, which could come in handy on a desert island. Interview by Kieran Delamont
