Following a career in sales and marketing, Courtney Hance launched her boutique marketing company in 2016. Specializing in crafting cohesive, results-driven brand initiatives and marketing campaigns that resonate both online and offline, The Branding Firm takes a hand-on approach to create, build and protect brand equity for its clients.

“Rather than striving for a perfect balance — an impossible standard that often left me feeling like I was falling short — I discovered the power of harmony, creating a dynamic that truly works for my family and my business”

“I always envisioned a future on the agency side,” Hance says. “When I finally made the transition, I realized it wasn’t just a career move — it was where I was meant to be. Years of managerial roles had shaped my ability to lead and innovate, making this evolution not just logical, but inevitable.”

For Hance, embracing the unpredictable roller coaster of entrepreneurship required a significant mindset shift — one that allowed her to revel in the exhilarating highs while learning valuable lessons from the unexpected dips, loops and turns associated with running a business.

“Equally important was redefining my approach to work and family life,” Hance stresses. “Rather than striving for a perfect balance — an impossible standard that often left me feeling like I was falling short — I discovered the power of harmony, creating a dynamic that truly works for my family and my business.”
