The market’s expansion has also contributed positively to the provincial economy. In its second year, Ontario’s open and regulated iGaming market generated nearly 15,000 full-time jobs and contributed almost CA$2.7 billion to the province’s GDP according to several best online casinos in Ontario.

The province’s 50 operators reported CA$311 million in gross revenue in July 2025, a 28.5% increase compared to July 2024. Online casino gaming generated CA$6.3 billion in wagers, accounting for 89% of the total, with non-adjusted gross revenue reaching CA$252.3 million—a 37% year-over-year increase.

iGaming Ontario, the regulatory body overseeing the market, has established a comprehensive framework to ensure fair play, transparency, and player safety.
