2018 Maserati Ghibli S Q4
3.0-litre twin-turbo V6, 424 HP
18,000 kilometres

WHEN I LEASED this car in July of 2016, I was the first Londoner to purchase a Maserati out of the London dealership. But I didn’t start my search there. When I first started looking, I reached out to the Ferrari of Ontario store, as they were the closest authorized dealership for the Maserati brand.

WHAT I PARTICULARLY like about this Maserati is that it looks different from just about anything else you’ll see on the road. It’s a great combination of glamour and sophistication—a beautiful car.

SOMEBODY ONCE SAID, “You are what you drive,” and I guess I subscribe to that a little bit. I think what I drive to meetings represents both me and my business, and it’s important to put your best foot forward. Besides, I think it also shows an appreciation for fun, high speed and performance—all important business attributes!

WHAT’S NICE ABOUT the Maserati brand is that, no matter what model you buy, you are getting a performance version when compared to other vehicles on the market. You can just as easily put pedal to the metal at the track on the weekends as you can enjoy a quiet and comfortable ride on your way to the office every day.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE the colour—Blu Emozione—and it looks amazing when it’s polished up. Though I do wish it had some type of self-cleaning option.

MY DREAM VEHICLE is the Ferrari California T. But that aside, I have enjoyed this vehicle so much that I’ve definitely become loyal to the brand. You’ll be seeming me in a Maserati vehicle for a long time.

I’VE HAD A lot of great drives in this car, but one that stands out in particular is the first family trip to Toronto. All I remember is how excited the kids were to ride in the new car. At one point I turned to my wife and said, “I think the kids are more excited about the car than we are.”
