What’s your biggest achievement?

I love getting clients out of jail. The sense of freedom in that moment, regardless of what’s to come in the future, is exhilarating. The tension of uncertainty, coupled with a decision for release is a sign of relief for many of my clients. That means everything to me.

“Over time, I came to realize that despite my own fears and insecurities, I have taken on this role to advocate for others. I faced up to it and found my voice” ―Carolynn Conron

Who do you count as your biggest influence?

My associate Sam Puchala, who has inspired me to glow up into a fierce, badass warrior woman.

What has this pandemic taught you?

The value of time and the privilege of space. Pre-Covid, so much of my time was spent in court, where the environment was carefully cultivated to be free of external distractions. So many hours were spent in court with little alternative productivity. Now it is easier — lawyers can be at their computer and in court at the same time.

What’s been your biggest obstacle and how did you deal with it?

Shedding the feeling of judgement from others. Over time, I came to realize that despite my own fears and insecurities, I have taken on this role to advocate for others. I faced up to it and found my voice. Passionately advocating for the causes of my clients makes me less conscious of my own feelings of uncertainty.

If you weren’t a lawyer, what would you be doing?

International spa reviewer.

What books have you been reading recently?

The Laws of Human Nature by Robert Greene, and Women Who Run With The Wolves by Clarissa Pinkola Estés.
