THE JET FUEL of our local economy is the construction sector, and 2021 is shaping up to be the single greatest production year in our city’s history. And this is despite cost increases, material shortages and labour challenges.  

It would be appropriate to acknowledge the building boom is spreading to the communities surrounding us. The growth in Strathroy, Mt. Brydges, Ilderton, Belmont and the like is simply exponential ― these towns will never be the same. Out-of-town buyers have helped to fuel this boom, as they find it easier to price standard 40-foot lots and costs per square foot of new homes in comparison to their local markets.

New construction real estate is basically sold out until the end of 2022.  As our economy climbs out of the clouds and soars in the near future, remember where the jet fuel is coming from!
