THE LONDON CHAMBER of Commerce announced this week it is launching a new free business coaching program and a series of workshops designed to help businesses get back on their feet as the post-pandemic recovery continues.
Called Propel: Moving Business Forward, the program is a collaboration between the Chamber and The Achievement Centre. a professional development consultancy founded in 1984. It will be open to as many as 50 participant businesses, with a focus on those who were negatively impacted by the pandemic, as it is “designed to support businesses in the hardest hit sectors.”

“Often business owners most in need of professional development and coaching are the ones who can least afford it,” says Marc Lacoursiere, president of The Achievement Centre. “There is no cost for businesses to participate in this program, thanks to a London Community Recovery Network grant.”
The LCRN was launched in September 2020, at the height of the pandemic, in an effort to support businesses through tough times, with $10 million set aside to support “social and economic recovery measures.”
The Propel program consists of a series of six workshops (totally 18 hours) focusing on a variety of different topics for business owners to choose from, including talent retention, personal productivity and stress management, among others. For businesses with more specific challenges, the program is also offering up to four hours of individual business coaching.

“This program will offer training in some of the most needed areas in today’s economic climate,” says Chamber public relations VP, Kristen Duever. “We are delighted to be partnering with The Achievement Centre on this initiative that will give businesses the skills and knowledge to thrive and grow.”
Registration for the program is now open, and the Chamber says that if more than 50 businesses sign up, applications will be chosen based on need. Registration closes at the end of the month, and workshops will begin in September 2022.
