For Kim Atkinson, the move entrepreneurship was more natural progression than conscious decision. “My background in public relations, communications, HR and consulting equipped me with the diverse skillset needed to lead a business,” she explains. “Over time, I realized that by aligning my expertise with my passions, I could create meaningful impact while also finding fulfillment in my work.”

As a seasoned business owner leading a creative team in an industry in which agility and continuous learning are essential to staying competitive, Atkinson understands that it can be challenging for young female leaders to find the confidence from within. “One of the most important shifts for me was recognizing that I am not a ‘female entrepreneur’ — I am simply an entrepreneur,” she says. “Walking into every meeting with confidence and purpose has been instrumental in my growth.”

She also knows that no one goes from vision to success without obstacles. “The entrepreneurial journey is filled with unexpected challenges, so adaptability is just as important as preparation. Set clear goals, build a strong support network and don’t be afraid to take the leap. Success comes from a combination of knowledge, resilience and a willingness to evolve.”
