A self-starter who over the years has launched and operated a handful of varied ventures over the years, including a daycare and transcription service, Becky Myers used to believe being an entrepreneur was essentially about creating a financially successful company.

“When people want to work with you over everyone else, that is success”

“I was taught to believe that success was measured by the size of your bank account,” she explains. “I have since learned that money is such a small part of success. I think that success is more of a feeling of accomplishment and is measured by the happiness and satisfaction of your staff and clients. When people want to work with you over everyone else, that is success.”

Today, presiding over three operations that cover off the gambit of printing, signage and mailing services and products, Myers believes managing quality and priorities, not time, is the secret to thriving personally and professionally.

“I don’t believe in work-life balance,” she says. “As an entrepreneur I believe I am always working and always being a mom. I think it is stressful to try to ‘balance’ it all. I do what needs to be done. My family comes first always. It seems to work for me.”
