What is your biggest career achievement so far, or the thing that you’re most proud of?
Building a sustainable and successful personal injury law practice that allows me to help individuals, while at the same time becoming a leader within my law firm.
What is your biggest career ambition?
To be generally known as a strong, capable and effective lawyer and advocate for my clients.
“Keep on trucking, never get complacent and remember the words of the great Ferris Bueller: ‘Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.’”
What advice would you give your younger self?
The same advice I’ve given myself throughout my career — keep on trucking, never get complacent and remember the words of the great Ferris Bueller: ‘Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.’
What’s one unexpected thing you like to tell people about your job?
It’s not like what you see on TV or in the movies Cases do not go to trial within a week or two of being retained, there is no dramatic music playing when I am making submissions in court and people do not typically wait to confess to wrongdoing until they are in the witness box at trial. No offence to Elle Woods and her impressive knowledge of post-perm haircare rules.
What kinds of music do you enjoy?
Mostly everything except metal. Although, I guess there is even a time for metal, like at the gym. I tend to listen to downtempo while at work because it helps me think.
You’ve got an open ticket to your dream vacation — where are you heading?
The moon. How cool would that be?
What’s the best movie or show you’ve watched lately?
Oppenheimer. Yes, it came out in 2023, but I saw it last year. Weapons was pretty good as well.
And finally, what’s your guilty pleasure?
Reading cheesy science fiction. Not super cheesy, just regular cheesy.
